It is not far from me. but, If I had the space etc. that would make three suburbans. and I have not finished paying for the my second one.

Yes i got it went up to $6100 now i got to find a shipper who wont charge me the same j/K LOL does anybody know of an adapter plate i can use stock motor and th350 or 700r4 on it probably the only thing ill change the rest will be stock well might upgrade the brakes too lol

The powerglides dont hold a candle to what youre wanting to do, but i have the set-ups for installing a powerglide in case you change your mind.
That seems to be a pretty nice 'burb you got there. Congratulations!

Ya i want to go th350 or 700r4 if i even do the sap im gunna drive it og for a while if i can get the clutch unfrozen

I can't remember who makes the adapter plate and flywheel, but they were once available. I can't remember if I sold mine with my '54 or not but I will check, just give me a few days (it's in NC and I'm in GA).

Down side to the auto conversion is that you loose the bellhousing mounts, leaving engine to be supported by the front motor mount and the tranny tail mount. I was never comfortable with that nor did I want to fab side mounts for the engine so I never used it.

Buffalo Enterprises makes an adapter and flex plate. Here's a write-up of installing one in a '54 GMC.

I know it fits the TH350. Didn't think there was a difference between the TH350 and 700r4.

There used to be a place called Advance Adapters,dont know if theyre even still around.
Ive still got the powerglide adapter ring and flywheel if you want to go that route.

Thanks for looking and the info guys im gunna go with a th350 or 700r4 for sure IF i change it to auto and can someone tell me the lug pattern i know its a 6 lug but wanted to make sure of the pattern and not sure if i can ask this here but looking for a set of artillary wheels for the right price smile LOL also anybody know of a trailer hitch made for this?? i might want to haul a golf cart around with it that would be a sight to see huh

My burban is finally on its way to me was a real pain in the a$$ to find a shipper to pick up an inop in New York and bring it to me in Washington LOL but i did it finally thanks uship.com
