Another new guy with a problem . Big surprise eh .
I've started restoring a 65 P30 step van that I suspect has a problem with the diff . It looks to be an Eaton that is a front loaded "pumpkin" style. It's a single rear wheel 8 lug axle . Any ideas on where to find information on this diff and parts for it ?
I also am having a little trouble finding information on the 292 that's in the truck . The engine needs head work , and I can't find for certain if the 292 uses all the same valves as the smaller 194 and 235 uses.

Now to your questions, the valves in the 292 are the same as the valves used in the same year 327 V8 truck engines, your rear axle is referred to in the parts book as a GM 7200, some parts are the same on 3/4 ton rear axles as well from 1960 - 66, hope that helps. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 28 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 28 | Why thank you it does help!
That's interesting about the 327 valves. Not sure what those heads would be , but at least I have a place to start looking .
