How do you take the reverse lights off a 1966 stepside pickup truck? I never really looked at them too hard and just assumed there would be two outside screws holding the lens onto the light housing.
Nope... All I see is two self taping (wood like) screws coming into the fender from the inside of the housing.
I tried twisting the lens without any luck!
I did a search in the forms thinking someone had to come across this one... doesn't seem like it...

| | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 227 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2005 Posts: 227 | I got them off... When the sun hit them just right, you could see "Twist off" with an arrow. I had to stick a screwdriver between the lenses and the case in a few spots to loosen them up, but with a lot of effort and a little help from one of those jar lid rubber things, they came off.
I am not sure if these are the original reverse lights. The inside state 1979. I looked at LMC trucks and found their reverse lights for stepsides. It looks like the original has two screws on the lenses.
Not happy with the rust I found behind the casing. So now it’s time to repair more rust... fun fun fun...
