Hello all,
I'm going to attach a few links to pics of my new project, a '36 Chevy 1.5 ton truck. The wife was thrilled to see it roll off the delivery truck...ok, not really. Until I get it moved into my dad's garage, I'll be sleeping with one eye open. Other than that, the truck will be a fun project, and since it's my first truck...I'll be asking alot of questions!

That is going to make one very nice looking truck....and to be as old as it is it seems to be in pretty good shape. It will be fun, frustrating but yet very rewarding. This is the place to be for what your doing. Good luck, thanks for the pictures and keep us posted.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

That truck is a beauty! That is really going to be fun to work on and drive.

I am curious about the engine. That looks like a 216 to me but I thought they were still using the 207 in 1936.

Hi,
Yes...it's a 216. It's a 1939 engine in that '36. I found that when i checked the numbers. Haven't worked on it in a bit. I had to take a little break from it and do some home repair, but am about to get back into it soon.
Thanks for looking!

Jeff

Are you going to use existing wheels? Mine on my '36 are too rusty. I was wondering if you had found a place to get new wheels. Thanks in Texas.
