I assumed it was orange/red but in other places have seen it indicated that it was green? What would be correct for the engine? Different for the valve covers?
orange is a car color, light trucks had gray 283s, heavy duty 283 was green, and the long block was all the same color, add ons like gen, starter, air cleaner, etc were black
