I ordered some sealed power .010 oversize main bearings for my 1967 250 L6. They have a hole for the oil hole, however there slotted bearings and the slot fits over the oil hole as slotted bearings do. I know this bearing kit is for my engine as the cap bearings fit perfect, and the thrust bearing has an oil hole that lines up perfect, and there are seven bearings total, equaling the seven bolt main. So has anyone used the slotted bearings with success, would I be safe using these?

Bearings with slots, or the ones with a groove all the way around the top bearing shell keep the oil pressure applied to the drilled hole going to the rod bearings a little longer. As long as the lower bearing is in full contact with the main journal, that's where most of the load goes while running. Slots or grooves on top just help the rods get more oil pressure.

Alright, I was a little worried I received the wrong product. Just so long as what I ordered works properly, or better is good. Has anyone personally used these with the slots on any L6?
