greetings, awhile back i picked up a '46 1/2 ton from Castaic, CA., its got a 350ci/th350, 5x 5.75" car pattern drum brakes (i think 53-54 chev car) and what looks to be a tri-5 rear end.

i wont be hot rodding the truck. interior, suspension, molding, electricals and drive train will get refreshed...thats it. plenty of work to keep me busy through out the year.

maybe someday ill put in a hopped up GMC 6cyl and a 4 speed.

OOOooo, thats a straight looking truck you have there. Welcome to the Stovebolt. Plan"9"??? what happened to the other 8 plans smile

Thanks for the pictures. This is a great site for old chevy truck lovers and you'll feel right at home. Lots of good folks and tons of knowledge.

Now, since it has the 350 in it I'd don't think anyone would mind a little tire smoke once in a while. I know I wouldn't. LOL

Plan9 welcome from Scotland, that's a really nice truck, it looks pretty complete.
No doubt the Ca. climate is very kind to old iron!
Good luck on your new 'journey'.
Jock.

She looks in pretty good shape. The 350/350/55 rear-end is pretty close to what I am running / combo works well
