Hi I have been restoring a 1948 Chev Loadmaster over the last 3 Years.

I located the truck in a farm shed where it had been parked for 20 years after blowing a head gasket.

I paid one weeks labour for it

so far I have done the engine rebuild along with a new clutch.

I have done up all the brakes and made the truck driveable.Since then I have move to a new town.

Now i ahave striped the cab off and removed all the chassis parts had all the part sand blasted and painted.

Now i am reassembling the truck from the ground up

here are some pics for you to see

Hi Paul,welcome from Scotland.

One weeks labour....?
Either you're very well paid,or you got a real bargain! It looks great.
Are you going to save the door art?
Keep up the good work.
Jock.

i got it cheap all i had to do was fix up the barn ready to be painted (good deal)

I plan to keep DRUM OAk WYDHAM in the doors

when the engine and front fenders where off. I replaced all the door pillers with new metal and repaired the fender mounts onto the firewall and they where all rust as I am a coachbuilder I am able to complete all the work myself.

I will add more up to date pics soon

Very cool truck Paul.

I love the original signage on the door.

Nice also , that it hasn't been sucked up by the Richardson museum.
