What items need to be changed when taking 1951 Chevy truck 216 out and replacing with a 1960 235?
Will the 216 starter work?
Can the 216 carburetor and fuel pump interchange?

I did exact sawp but my truck was all wired for 12V. I used original Bellhousing, clutch kit, starter solenoid, starter coil. 216 carb, manifolds dont work. I am using exhaust from 216.

Waterpump from 235 might hit the radiator, you have two options - one you can buy short water pump from patricks (my source) or you can have radiator mounting bracket which should move your radiator backwards

Others will add more but mine worked great with short water pump

Make that 4. Option 3-You can shorten a water pump shaft yourself a lot cheaper than buying one already cut.

However, I believe option 4, the adapter and early pump is your best bet.
