I am in the final stages of sanding my truck for paint and I wasn't sure if I should take the time to fill all the spot welds in the bed sides and tail gate (all reproduction)? If the factory didn't cover them I won't either. The spot welds really stand out on my new
Mar-K tailgate (very well built by the way).

Let me know what you all think.

yes they were frequently very visible, trucks were inexpensive consumer goods for workin men, not glitzy show machines wink look over the truck carefully and you'll no doubt find other areas where the spot welds plainly show - if you haven't already bodyworked them away

Then I shall leave them as is.

By the way Bill, I noted your signature about John Muir, just spent 5 days in the Yosemite backcountry on the John Muir trail via horseback. camped below 13,000 ft. Mt. Banner at 1,000 Island lakes. Beautiful. Check it out:
Mt. Banner 13,000 ft. Sierra Nevada mountain range

Thanks.
