Hey Bolters, I tried searching this topic already and reading my manual with no avail. This question is concerning a 1955 1st series 1-ton.

I need to replace a leaky pinion oil seal and of course when I am done, I need to refill the diff with oil. My dad and I think 90w gear oil is what the trucks came with, but we want to be sure.

The manual I have goes through the procedure, but the only mention of oil is that it recommends soaking the new seal in motor oil for initial lubrication.

Thanks for your help bolters.
