Changed the in-cab fuel tank (stayed with original design). Now can't get fuel to flow to carb - all lines OK, etc. Did change to electric fuel pump before this. Ideas for priming? Also - added large fuel filter - again, not a problem before, but wonder if it might be a factor now. Thanks!

how close is the electric pump to the tank?

Unless you already have or know for sure, I would open each line connection starting at the fuel tank and thereby see if you have flow through each connection by working down the system to the carb.

Thank you for the responses. I have a see-thru filter in line before the electric fuel pump, so I can see I have no fuel flow. The electric pump is located just in front of and slightly higher than where the mechanical pump would be located - so it's about six feet or so from the tank.

as Drew sez, crack the connection at the inlet of the filter and see if gas will flow [have a can handy], if it does, crack the connection on the pump inlet and see if the filter fills - you should still be getting gravity feed with that setup, but fuel pumps push better than they pull, might not like the filter between it and the tank, at least with the lines initially empty

An electric pump primes itself. I take it the pump does run. Did you replace the sending unit? Some have a return line outlet. You may have hooked to the wrong tube. Make sure the pump is not backward. Possibly the fuel filter has a check valve & is installed backward. It's a simple system it should squirt fuel all over. Something has to be pluged up or sucking air.

Thanks to all. Did the checks as suggested. In the end, put a hand vacum pump on the line and sucked it through, finally started flowing. Now carb is screwed up, probably from all the dry cranking (?) Anyway, thanks for all the responses!
