I bought a repo tail light and bracket fron Chev's of the 40's for my 41 GMC. Should it go on the front or the back of the bed support. There's factory holes on both sides and it seems like it fits better at the back but I alway thought they mounted on the front side, any ideas? Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, they go on the back because they just look better on the back. The inside edge of the bracket looks better against the flange of the stake pocket in the corner where it mounts to the bed on the backside of the stake pocket, plus the license plate looks better toward the back of the stake pocket as it is mounted on the bracket. All that I have seen of the late 30's and early 40's Chevrolet pickup trucks mount this way.
