I have posted pictures at http://s982.photobucket.com/albums/...hevy%203600%20truck/53%20Truck%20heater/ . Can anyone tell me if this is a stock Chevy heater or if it is an aftermarket heater? One of the plastic covers on what appear to be defrost outlets says “CDC”. The motor seems to be pop riveted to the heater body. There is no sign of heater controls or defrost ducts. I now have 12 volt wiring. Should I replace with a completely new unit and if so, who has a good one? I'd suggest you make a wanted post in the swap and get a correct AD heater .... see if you can identify that core for sure, it may be worth the price of a correct heater for you ... about the right size/shape for tri5 car, but tubes aren't positioned right

What do you mean by "AD" heater? And what is a "tri5 car"?

Thanks for the info. If I don't find a stock heater (with all controls), is there an aftermarket that is worthwhile? Both LMC and Classic Parts offer them.
