The 3/4 ton will have a longer frame, heavier axles and brakes with 8 lug wheels, heavier springs, hybrid driveshaft (front half closed, rear half open), plus the bed and running boards will be longer. Front bed panel, tailgate, and rear fenders will be the same, though.

Some of the things that could be different are year to year changes rather than differences between a 1/2-ton and a 3/4-ton.
Also in those years GMC make a long-box 1/2-ton that includes a bunch more changes.
