I have original turn signals in hub below wheel.
The other day, the brake lights stopped working. Put test probe on stop light switch--working properly. When brakes are applied, white wire is hot to junction about 3' down the frame, where wire seems to u-turn and head back toward the front of the truck (all wrapped up so hard to tell. Then, more wires come to junction and two white wires, from junction, again head toward the rear (these are the wires that carry juice to the right and left stop lights/turn signals. ALL lights are working as they should be, except the stop lights!
Does the white wire originally mentioned, head up to the turn signal indicator cone, then from there, send power thru the flasher unit, to the rear lights, or control the stop lights?? I just got a feeling the problem may be in the indicator cone.
Any thoughts/suggestions on this?
The truck was completely re-wired with AAW wring harnesses when restored, and all lights have been working great up to now.

only thing in the turn sig cup likely to be a problem is the switch, but could be some bad connections at the big connector where the wires come out of the column or in that tangle of connectors under the floor

stop light power goes from the headlight switch to the brake light switch to the turn signal switch [where it is interrupted fot the side selected, if any] then carries on to the tail - if the turn signals work the problem with the brake lights is more likely in wiring ... wiring shown towards the last page here
