Napa sells a stock replacement muffler for the 235. Its part #EXH21028 and is listed online for $85.49. Here is a picture of it:

Good luck with your project!

I went with a stock muffler on my 1959 and my 235 loves it! wink

I bought a muffler for my 38 that looks just like that at the local farm store for $25. It's a tractor muffler.

I thought I remembered someone talking about buying the same muffler at the tractor supply. Do you know the part number for it? That would be a great reference for our fellow stovebolters!

I don't remember. It was a stock item at the local Orscheln store. They had a whole rack of different length mufflers. Some baffled, some glasspacks. I bought a glasspack for my 38. If I remember correctly it was even built in the US.
