Does anyone know if this will fit a 1957 235?

Weiand Dual Carb Intake

It looks like it has the 216 alignment rings but it could be opened up for a 235 fairly easily.

on 2nd thought it will not fit a 235,sorry Barry-hahhahahahahhahahahaahahh

Adapter rings are available to fit a 216 manifold to a 235 head. The intake manifold connection to the exhaust manifold is also slightly different. 2 of the connecting bolts are spaced narrower on the 216 manifolds than on the 235.

I would never bid on that pile of junk.

Sorry, but I only have the one Nicson side cover that I bought off ebay last year to go with the aluminum Nicson head. The only way to get that sidecover from me is to find me a better one to buy, or wait until I tip over and buy it from my wife at the auction!

Hey you aluminum collectors out there, my life is almost complete! Yesterday I had a nice, tall, NOS Sharp sidecover IN MY HANDS! A friend of mine has been telling me for years that he had an old, brand new, alum. 216 sidecover tucked away somewhere in his garage. He wouldn't sell it, and hasn't even been able to find it for awhile to show me. He bought it at the Street Rod Nats. swap here in St. Paul in 1974 to put on his 216, but never did. Yesterday I was at his house to see his new addition he built on his garage (awesome 2nd floor museum!), and the sidecover was sitting out where it was easy to get to. I held it, fondled it, asked again about buying it, and reluctantly handed it back to it's owner. I don't think I'll ever get the chance to buy this one, but it gives me hope that there are more pieces like this out there hidden away!

You and I have talked enough for me to know what that must have been like for you! It had to be one of the top five great experiences you have had in your life - and I will leave the other four to the imagination of those who read this post. I know each of you will know what they are.

In the meantime, Barry, it is still the "hunt", and you can do it! Just stick with it and someday it will happen!

I should have spent the $1000 for the set on Ebay,stupid me.

Don' feel bad! I am constantly beating myself up because I didn't go after something I wanted on ebaY because it seemed too high in price or some other lame reason.

I'm still beating myself up too over the Sharp set on ebay a year ago. In fact, I had emailed the seller the first time it was listed and said I'll hit the buy-it-now button if you'll pay the postage. He wouldn't ($14 or something), and I got mad and never bid again. My fault. Looking back I should've bought it and sold off the intake and valvecover, and right now I'd be fondling my very own sidecover! Well, at least after last weekend I know there are treasures waiting to be found out there.

And,really,$1000 is not that much money these days.They make money everyday,not Sharp 6 cyl speed equipment.

...and there's the problem. $1,000 IS alot of money for me! Takes me waaayy tooo loonngg to save that much to spend on aluminum. But you're right, I should've just found a way to do the deal. I'm learning. Just slowly.
