Recently overhauled the brakes on 1950 3100, and was hoping to send the brake shoes off someplace where they could be resurfaced/recycled/reused. Any hints? Trying to avoid chucking them into the trash. I'll pay shipping, just want to get them out of here.

Can these be treated as 'cores'?

Thanks! michelle

A rebuilder in Nashville relines shoes, or the linings and rivets can be bought some places for do-it-yourself rebuilding.

I recently bought shoes for my '39 at a local auto parts store (Baxter's). They were less that 20 bucks an axle.

NAPA and I'm sure other flaps will take them as core returns.
