I've restored my Deluxe Fresh Air heater for my '58 Chev. I've cleaned up all the cables so they push/pull nicely. I got mine in pieces, so I didn't take it apart. I'm now trying to figure out which cable goes goes where. Especially the short 4" cable, and one which has an oval end (assume for the Fresh/Recirculate door).

Anyone got any pictures or diagrams of which cable goes where ? That 4" one has me totally baffled.
1. Fresh/Recirculation door
2. Heat/Defrost door
3. Heat Temperature valve inside Heater box
4. Mystery 4" cable??

Regards.

Hi Bill.
I was looking at your Accessory diagrams earlier. They only show 3 cables, and not too clearly.
My LMC Truck cataloge shows 3 cables. I'm just baffled why I'd have an extra.

Unless it's something to do with the throtle/choke linkage ?

Any idea where a 4" flex cable would go ?

no idea, but I think I have a couple that short in the boxful of salvaged cables in the shed - AFAIK there are only the 3 shown, but if you got it in pieces the xtra might be from something else altogether, I think the 5-7 cars had a shorter one
