I'm Robert, I'm the same Colotow if you run into me on any other boards

I have a 65 in pieces, planning to put it on a 79 Blazer 4x4 frame, mostly because I already have it, and it was free! (Don't hate me?) I used to have a different 65 shortbed stepside, but the ex got that in the divorce. This one will be a long term project, still planning and gathering parts, but it'll happen.
Saw a comment about this board somewhere, stopped in to check it out, wandered around lurking for a couple hours and decided there was too much great info and resources here to not join. Hopefully I can help as well as ask questions, we'll see...

Hi Robert, welcome from Scotland.
You'll already be aware there's a sub-forum for you 60s guys.
It's OK we wont 'hate' you, it's your truck,do as you please!

As you mention, share the knowledge, that's what this place is all about!
Good luck with your 65.
Jock

Robert, welcome to the Stovebolt. Sounds like a plan to me. Buy up the parts and when you get it all torn apart you'll be ready to put it back together instead of looking at a pile of parts in a corner.
Have a sister-in-law in Mt. Pleasant (southern utah)..are you close??

Good luck, we're here to help. now, some pics when you can.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Hi Robert, welcome! Mine is a long term project too, although it's starting to drag a little. Good luck.
