The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Big Bolts Front Wheel Bearings?

Looking for a replacement outer wheel bearing for my '48 2ton. Original is a Hyatt A11020. Everyone I have talked to says there is no references to that number and that it is no longer made. Tried NAPA and they couldn't match one close. HELP!! Thanks.

I use Purvis Bearing here 254-778-6797 TEMPLE ,TEXAS .You should have a bearing only shop there , if not call them .

Were you able to find one by looking up the vehicle or old bearing number, or just physically matching up to the old one. I do have a bearing company about 45 min away but they were not able to help me over the phone.

Hy Jon 3348, those bearings were "barrel type roller bearings", the standard tapered roller bearing replacement p/n is KA-11020-Z, that has not been produced for years either, the components of that set are 15574A and 15522A, hope that helps, someone may have a good used one.

The 15574A and 15522A are still a good Timken number. I bought some from these guys recently for a 2 ton.

I had a hell of a time finding them for my truck. I got them from the Filling Station in Oregon. http://www.fillingstation.com/. You'll have to call them, I don't think they have it listed in the cataloge.

I got the inner bearing last year from Bates Sales Co. out of St. Louis. They also had the outer bearing.

The funny thing was when I got the bearing it was an original Hyatt bearing re-packaged in a generic box.

I'm with you on the prices. I just spent $65 for an inner bearing for my C60 and I thought that was spendy. The Baum prices are a little over the top. Find a local bearing shop that knows their stuff.

There must be something wrong with Baum's online catalog. We have been buying from them for over 50 years and I called them when I bought. It was something under $100 for a genuine Timken made in USA cup and cone.

I took them the old bearing they measured it and also asked what it was installed on and looked it up by application .
