I'm going to register my 54 3100 in Washington State and they want the Gross Weight. I'm seeing 4,200 # on the internet. This sounds too heavy. Do you have the actual Gross Weight of the truck? Regardless of the new V8, etc., I think the original weight will do.

When they ask for "gross weight" do they want fully loaded capacity, or unloaded "curb weight" which is much lower?

If it'slike the states around here, they want the max. it will be carrying &/or pulling. Like if you are licensed for 8,000 lb's you can't go over that or you can face serious fines.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Well, I'll tell them 4,200 pounds. But, I suspect after swapping the 6 cylinder for a small block V8 and getting rid of those bulky rear and front springs it's a lot lighter.
