Can anyone tell me if the steering wheel on a 40 chev. 1/2 is the same as on a 1 1/2 ton? I assume they have the same spline and will interchange, but not sure.

im going to say its the same. i was looking at a 46 gmc 2 ton wheel and the colunm and its the same as my 40.

Thanks. I suspected that all from 1/2 to 2 would be the same. I see some wheels off of the larger trucks being offered for sale, but wondered it the shaft was the same. Parts back then were made tough enough for about any use. HA. Plus it was cheaper to make one size fits all.
