I just scored a (if it works) radio for my truck. The factory manual doesn't show the connections. There appears to be three connections for power, +12v, ground, light, which is which. There are three wires for right and left speakers, third wire is(?).

I am not familiar with that radio but probably if you have a left and right speaker, the third wire would be a ground. If you experiment, make sure that you don't turn the volume up until you have the spealers working.

I was unclear on the speaker wires. There are three wires for each side. Each side has a black(grd?), blue(?), and a yellow or green. I'm guessing the black is ground, and the yellow and green are signal, and the blue, no idea. The power connections I can probably work out if I pop the cover off, but I've got many things going on. Hoping for a little help.

The radio is not a 67-72 truck as thought. I got pictures and the information of the paper sticker. Pictures;

The information off the stickers is Service Model 01V?P3. the ? is either an E or an F, Product Number 7312721. The knob spacing looks good at 6 3/16 center to center. The bezel is 2 1/8 x 3 7/8, which makes it too narrow by about 5/8, but still usable. My memory failed me on the speaker wire colors. They are Gr, Gr, blk for one side and the other is GR, YL, Blue. Any help on what this might be out of would be appreciated.

I'm going to go ahead and use it. I'll cut a piece of black plastic to go around the bezel when I install it. I won't be installing it for about a month since part of the rebuild kit for the heater control is on back order.

Found a good link Delco radio numbers from 1958 to 1975;

http://www.wonderbarman.com/codes.html

Turns out the radio is out of a 1970 Vette
