For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 639 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 639 | Ok, I talked to a guy yesterday that saw my '53 GMC and said he had a Chevy like it a few years back. This guy does a lot of customizeing and said he dropped the front of his 1/2 ton useing junk yard parts. He tells me the front axle from a '63-'65 Chevy van will work in my truck and will give me a 4"-5" drop. I might know where one of these vans is sitting. Any one have any insight on this axle swap?
