Hey guys look what I found near my house in dallas that ended up on ebay.

I just thought I would let you know!

I am not selling nor do I know this guy personally but I did talk with him and he said that his friends need the help.

Ted is the guy that posted it on ebay and he said $2500 takes it home with out the auction. his number is 619.507.8535

What do you think would be a good price on it?
I was thinking about offering 1500 for it before he said 2500.
He did say that the truck did have surface rust only.
I was thinking about driving over and looking at it tomorrow and get the full status report on it.
If I do I will keep you guys updated

ebay Sitting under a tree for as many years as this one has, is not good.

$1500 would be a decent price for this one, I think $2500 is pushing it unless you have someone that will bid on it for the radio and seats and then turn around and resell it.

There is lot's of rust issues that the pictures don't show. The rear fenders look to have lot's of rust around the body and fender. Looks like rust around the windshield, I doubt that the cowls are any good, there is rust under the side windows just above the running boards. He does not show the rear interior around the wheel well, my guess is there is rust there too.

Here's a CHECK LIST that you should take with you.

There is value in the seats, radio, rear valence and rear fenders if they are not rusted. If it proves that there is little rust, my guess is that it would be worth $2500, but barely.

If things dont get better around here soon, there may be a pretty nice '52 for sale.

I agree with George. It looks like a lot of the hard-to-find Suburban parts are there (if it is near your house, take George's list and inspect the truck). If there is really not any/much rust-through, $2,500 might not be a bad price - you'd still have a serious restoration on your hands ($$$$$).

I think George and Tim are spot on.

A 'burb close to your house with some already hard to find parts does hold some value. I think $1500 is a fine offer and start from there.

I would be interested in the middle seat and a jumper seat

Stand in line I think there are quite a few people wanting the same thing.

If you look closely, that's a back (3rd) seat not a middle seat. That's the one I want.

It also looks like the rear door has rust holes through it on the inside.

Looks like someone made him a deal he couldn't refuse!

I've noticed people are now purchasing trucks for the precious parts, and selling the rest. I guess that's what we are going to have to do to get those last few precious parts. After reading threads like this, I feel very fortunate and happy that I made the decision to pay for my near complete Burb, even though I paid 4500 and 800 to ship it. It was worth every penny.
