54 3100 w/235. Last night I was installing a new interior firewall cover. becuase it's so difficult to see up under the dash a corner of it got caught on the wire going to the amp guage and pulled the terminal lug right out of the back of the guage. do you think there is anyway to put it back in or am I looking at $50 for a new guage? I haven't pulled the guage cluster back out of the dash yet.

You may be able to repair the post but you will have to take it apart to make that determination. I have a good one listed in the swap meet.

It was brobably all burned out to began with. If you want to get it mobile before you get a new one you can hook all the wires together on the remaining term. The truck will work as normal but the gauge won't.
