I drained out about 7 1/2 quarts of oil! The dipstick showed that it was at the proper level. When I changed the oil and filter I put in 5 quarts and it didn't even show up on the dipstick. Either the engine takes more than 5 qts or I have the wrong dipstick???

Never argue with the factory manual.
