Having been around the 'bolt for a couple of years now I have noticed that the matter of glass installation comes up quite often.
Jim Slootmaker "tools94" has already posted an in depth account of his install,and I thought I could add my contribution in the form of pictures.
I have compiled a pictorial guide of the rear window installation in my 50AD truck.
The technique applies to any glass that uses the Claytonrite style seal and lock strip.

Jock, when you removed the glass, did you have any trouble?

Hank,the original glass was de-laminated and yellow with age,not to mention the three bullet holes!
Thankfully the shooter missed the bodywork.

I have had the side and rear glass made in 5mm thick tempered glass.
It's as tough as old boots and you can be pretty heavy handed with it,just don't clip the edge with a metal tool!
To remove the window again for paint, all i'll do is remove the lockstrip and push it out.

A 4mm (1/4") thick tempered door glass will easily support my 220+lbs and will in fact bend under my weight without breaking.
