Hy sask42, I will try to break down your serial number for you
2 - year 1942 or 52, must confirm by body style
15 - Chevrolet 2ton, with 224 engine in 1942, 235 in 1952
43 - Chassis with cab, wheelbase 160" [1942], 161" [1952]
02133 is the regular production number
I hope that helps some.

Yes it is a cab and chassis and it is a 42. I thought it had a 216 in it! good thing i haven't bought engine parts for it yet. and i will have to measure the wheel base but 160" looks about right

Hy sask42, a 224 and 216 look identical from the outside, the 224 has a 1/16" larger bore. Basically a .0625 overbore of a 216, hope that helps.

I just wish that when it had the new engine installed that they stamped the block cause it has been horrible tring to size it without that stamp
