For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 113 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 113 | I've been working on my 36 T-16 low cab and it's time to address the door supports. I like the idea of going with reproduction wood as opposed to welding up a set of steel supports. I figure the wood supports worked for years on crappy roads on a daily basis. I will be using this truck a lot and the engine/drive line will be modified. (CumminsBT6, NV4500, P-30 Axles) In that I'm modifying the firewall to accommodate the engine (about 5 inches in), the question of keeping the cab original doesn't come into play. Thoughts? Suggestions? Best vendor for wood? | | |
