Howdy folks,

Goin' to the junk yard tomorrow yahoo There are a several 60's parts buses there. Any hang ups on these fenders or grills fitting on a 64 2 ton dump. Thanks for any info. You guys in the north and east stay warm this weekend.

thanks joek3167. I guess no one has done this before. did a little measuring and they should mount up OK. Found a '65 bus with perfect fenders and grill and the core support which I really needed.

Years ago lots of school buses wound up in salvage yards. In no time everything from the firewall was gone and they kept the rest for a storage shed. They had to be selling the front sheet metal to guys with 2 ton trucks because I doubt that school districts shopped salvage yards.

I'm going to pick up the front clip on Saturday. He has at least 20 different busses of various years and makes. Type in johns salvage company seguin texas on google. I'll look for ya' just the same. pretty good shape 56 or 57 2 ton grain truck in there too... my wife already said no though.

I had to sell my soul to get Saturday off so I think I'll take the kids and make a day out of it. 49, I'll check for something that early. Timbuk, tell me more about the fiberglass. You caught my attention on that one.

49, he's got 2 49 busses there. one long one that the roof is pretty rusted on it ,but the front sheet metal is good. The other is a short bus, about 25 feet, that looks pretty good. Only trick is that its full of flywheels so that brought the price to $1500 due to the labor involved. Good luck.
