The top cover has a number 3830574 with a date code J11 5 (Yes, that's a space before the 5). The Tranmission case, on the drivers side has the number 3837334 with date code J6 5 (again, thats a space before the 5)
What is it?
What prompted this question is what I learned following the recent "SM420 Yoke" post. I didn't want to "ride on the post".
Thanks | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Just judging from the date codes, it's either a very late '55 or early '56. To tell for sure, look for the unit serial number, which should be stamped on the back of the case.
