will a late 235 intake fit on a early exhaust manifold

Welcome to The Stovebolt Page firetruck.
Two of the four mounting studs, for the intake to exhaust manifold connection, closest to the head mounting surface, MAY have a narrower spacing on the earlier manifold. The mounting holes on the late intake can probably be modified to fit on the early exhaust, if that is the case. Or I could be completely wrong. I believe the above is true when mounting a 216 intake on a 235 exhaust manifold.
