When I look up a '54 in the Restoration Pack I see that a 1-ton GVWR is 8800 but the front axle is rated at 3500 and the rear at 7200.

I don't have access to the Restoration Pack for a '72 and haven't been able to find it online. Does anyone know by axle what the ratings are for a '72 Chevy C20 (3/4-ton)?

Thanks!

Your answer should be in this brochure somewhere.

Thanks Randy,

I dug through those documents and several more years but didn't really find what I wanted.

For '72 the only specifications chart that includes a front axle rating is on a Blazer, which is only a 1/2-ton.

A few years later I find a chart for Suburbans that includes a 3/4-ton that says 3800 pounds. That is the kind of number I'm looking for on the '72.

Till I find something better I'll use that 3800 number, but ultimately I'd prefer to have a number I know is accurate for my '72 IFS.
