Anyone know how much and what is diff between the 41-47 1st and 47-54 frames? ANY info like width at rear of cabs front horns ect. Got a great 48 frame to use if my 42 cab will fit it with out to much fabrication. Will the 48 front axle fit under the 42 and line up with springs? steering? How much diff between the beds?

I believe the front axle is the same. The rest is different - you may get the bed to fit with a bit of hacking. Sell the '48 parts and buy appropriate 41-47 parts, or build a 41-47 frame

Like to sell the thing and get something with a little more parts available. but you know how that goes. Doesnt seem like these trucks are worth much. And other than a few select hard to find pieces the used parts are worthless. As for the bed I'll be using IS the 48 bed already bolted to the 48 frame. Still seems like the best bet is cutting the 2 frames and butting the rear half of the 48 to the front half of the 42. I would LOVE to get my hands on a useable 42 frame or just the 2 side rails. I dont want one of the overpriced boxed and welded street rod frames. Shame someone doesnt repop the rails and crossmembers. seems like if you need a frame you have to go full blown street rod. And I dont want that. If I did i would just buy a "NEW" T-Bucket. My 42 1 1/2 ton had the double frame and it rotted very badly where the 2 pieces sandwitched together. From cab forward the frame looks new. From the cab back to the front spring hangers it looks about as thick as paper. I could just replace the straight pieces but I dont want to have that many splices.
