I wonder why he can't unload it? It is not too far from me. I know it has popped up here before for discussion.

Also has a 57 Sub.

He should take it to Barrett Jackson and double his money. People there are paying top dollar for these right now.

Proper description and photos would help. Calls it a 1-ton but the photos I see look like a 1/2-ton. Nothing of the interior or engine or underneath.

My bet is they aren't real serious about selling.

And the South American bit needs some explanation.

It is a 1-ton Panel that was converted to a Suburban-like mini-bus.

It is a very nice vehicle from 20'-30'.

Here is a discussion about this vehicle. (links to many photos are given in that discussion).

As I recall, it was built in Tarrytown, NY and shipped to S.A. Much later, it was shipped back to the U.S.A. (through Florida) to the present owner (who is in Canada).

The first time I saw this one advertised it was for $14,000, It sold and went to Canada. it was advertised several times for $18,000 and the last time for $14,000. It is unique, but unfortunately the repairs were amateur at best.

I have a feeling this was first sold, sight unseen! The guy that owns it now seems to be very sincere and will send you many pictures of it.

What repairs were done that were amateur? Anything significant?

It's hard to judge: significant to one person might not be significant to another person. If you looked at the earlier discussion about the vehicle and checked out the photo albums, these are a few of the photos that might answer the "Anything significant?" questions. The owner provided these photos - he is not trying to hide anything. Each viewer can judge.

Thanks Tim. I might buzz up there when the weather warms up and have a look for curiosity's sake - it is not much more than a half hour away. He has a 57 burb too for sale.

If I lived closer to it, I'd go see it. If you go, please send us a report (and a better/clearer set of photos).
