Depends on the panel condition you have to start with.

Worked very well but make sure the blaster knows what he is doing or he can warp the panels badly. He needs to use lower pressure and to jump around. If he stays on the panels too long it will generate alot of heat which will warp them. I think I max out at about 75 psi and average about 50psi. I'm using beach sand.

| | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 | I would do a chemecal bath on that old iron,a freind of mine did ,took his front end,fenders and inner fenders to a bath place and it came out great after I saw his stuff I wish I would have done the same, I took all the paint off with a drill and paint removing pads it came out good ,right down to bear metal but it took a long time and alot of work ,his stuff looks like new and did not remove any metal.

Sand blasting is ok if the person knows what he's doing like stea said.
