For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | I wasn't familiar with the light duty 1/2 ton type rear end in a 3/4 ton but if that is what you have it should be an easy job. The tech tip explains it well. If you have any questions post them & there are plenty of knowlegeable people on this website to help. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 100 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 100 |

On my truck it really was that easy !! Fingers crossed mine is the same. You mentioned in the tip you fitted a 61 yoke and I as I have to get a new prop built as well I wondered where you got the yoke?

I bought it from a local wrecking yard. However when I took my drive shaft in to have it lengthened the shop supplied a new one.
If you do not find one and your shop can not get one you can have mine for the shipping cost

I'll keep that in mind if I can't get one a bit more local.
