It's a 235 that doesn't turn over. My 235 is fine and I would be buying this one mostly for the damper and road draft tube. My damper isn't stock so my fan is spaced out 1" and I have broken a fan pully before. I have a NOS pully on now and 2 spares. My draft tube just doesn't have the bracket to bolt it to the engine. Do stock dampers contain rubber that could be deteriorated? My other idea was to paint the tin and manifolds of this engine and put them on mine as done, but these would all need blasting. I could probably get it for $40 or less, but I don't really want the block taking up space either, so it would have to go soon. Thoughts?

Unless, you just want to play around with pulling apart the 235, I personally would pass on it. And yes,the damper deteriorates although there are rebuilders for them if you want to do that.

I just looked at the pictures and if that is it then RUN don't walk to see the guy and pay him quick. There are guys who would eagerly give you the 40 bucks back just for the oil filter. Lots of other goodies too.

The days of the $5 road draft tube and the $10 aor cleaner, not to mention the $10 harmonic balancer are long gone. If you can use parts off of that engine and you have a place to store it, buy it. | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,859 Grumpy old guy playing with trucks, cars, and boats | Grumpy old guy playing with trucks, cars, and boats Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,859 | heck, the cast iron alone is worth at least $15 for scrap.
