The liftgate works well, it's got new 9x22.5 front tires and the only thing not working is the fuel guage. I figured the motor to be a 292 but am not sure yet. Am I mistaken or is that a 62 grill? Sometimes the big trucks get handled just a little differently from the factory....then again, maybe I'm totally wrong about the grill.

| | | | | Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 942 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 942 | It seems like '63 C-50 and larger trucks got a '62 Grille for some reason. The larger trucks also don't have the mesh in the grille like a pick-up has. The grille looks like the correct one to me.
Also want to point out that the truck should be a "C" series.
If original, the engine should be a 292, but if you get the engine code on the pad next to the distributor for us, we can verify what you have.
Nice truck by the way. You sure got a good deal.

Drove it over the scales today and it was right at 9K. Too bad Oregon registration rates are spiking. I was thinking of registering it for 16000. It was previously registered at 20000lbs. | | |
