I have my cast iron header being blasted. Can someone recommend a coating that I could do myself?

I used POR 15 Header paint.
used 3 coats looks great,but have not fired them up yet.
I guess that will be the real test.

I used Eastwoods high temp cast iron coating. Really happy with the results after spraying 2 coats and let it cure for 24 hours you have to heat it up either by running the vehicle or in an oven. I put mine on the barbeque for 30 minutes it turned out great

I,like bowties4me used the POR paint, I haven't driven it in anger yet so I don't know how it'll hold up,but I'm pleased with the results.
I run the engine for a few minutes every few days just to keep everything lubed up and have had no problems yet.
I had the headers blasted before I painted them and it provided a really good key for the paint.

It is nice to hear from people who have run a coating for a few years and for a few thousand miles.

The people I know who have had long-term luck with an exhaust manifold coatings have had the manifold(s) coated with a baked ceramic coating ( like Jet Hot $$$ ).

I am now testing a low-tech coating called Calyx Manifold Dressing, and it is holding up fine - BUT, it has only been on for a little more than one year.

I like Calyx because it's cheap and only takes a few minutes to do and a little bit goes a long way. I brush a little on about once a year. Looks great! I'm still using the original little container I bought 5 years ago.
