I have a ’38 tow truck and I am trying to work out the particulars of my project before I dive in.
I want to change the front end to IFS. Do any of you know if there are other years of trucks (I want it to at least be a one ton) that have the same width?
Any help would be great it will give me something to start to look for. I want to change it for a more modern front end so I can do the V8 power steering thing (non power steering is really getting old ☺)

It might help to give more information about what you are looking for. For instance how wide is your current front suspension. What wheels and tires do you want to run.
