I have a 41 chevy and the rear fenders have some dents rust and repairs, do you think that it would be best to buy some new fiberglass fenders? Are they pretty much bolt on? What is the down side? I'm not building a show truck. Dave

Homer,

I've got a pair of fiberglass on the back of my 46, as you just can't find the steel any more. Should you find a pair, you probably can't afford them.

The glass are a good fit, and look nice. You have to look underneath, and closely, to see that they are glass.

I would go with the glass, and keep your eye's and wallet open, if you're convinced otherwise.

Good Luck,

I put all 4 on a 40 one time. They fit reasonably well & looked good. The only drawback is if you go to sell it people think it's some kind of disease. R & R Fiberglass is where I got them. They make their own & the quality & price was good.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
