Hi folks,
I just got my '46 chevy half ton today. I thought from the pictures it was orginal 6 lug, but its been swapped to 5. Out back, I'm guessing it has a camaro or truck rear end of some kind, as it has a regular drive shaft now and much taller gearing. The front end looks like what I have seen on here, but its 5 lug drum brakes. Was the 5 lug pattern offered later and can backfit to a '46? How can I identify what front brakes I have? Also, what should I look for at the rear end to identify it? I would like to know what I have when I go to get parts. The previous owner wasn't much help as it was that way when he got the truck.

Chances are someone used backing plates hubs and drums from a 53 or 54 car. Pictures would be helpful.
