My right rear brakes locked up, I tried loosening the adjusters - no luck.

I also tried bleeding the wheel cylinders to maybe collapse the piston - no luck.

I've got the axle out and easily removed the 2 retaining nuts to the drum/hub assembly.

Should I use a slide hammer to try and get the drum off - or grind the heads off the brake shoe retainers to hopefully collapse the shoes to remove the drum?

Are brake parts hard to come by for a C50?

Thanks for any help or advice.

Dan

Hy Rambos Ride, if you can turn the drum in the opposite direction to that which it was turning when it locked up it may help loosen it up. As far as parts are concerned, the brake drum p/n is 3996644 = Napa TWD2770 $234.00, brake shoes p/n 3881550, no cross at the Napa site, wheel cylinders, there were many options, need more info. these parts are for the 15" X 4" brakes, hope that helps.
