Did the 1963 Suburban come with factory seat belts? If not, I would love some advice or some pictures of how you guys have added them. I have a 7 year old and a new one on the way. So I have to get it ready for the family.

I've got a '62, and added aftermarket lap belts. Won't do much to keep anyone out of the dash or steering wheel, but it'll keep everyone in the truck in case of a bad accident.

I'm planning on 3-point shoulder belts in the future, but they're a lot more involved to install.

I don't think I'll be able to easily add 3-points to the rear, unless I beef up the entire seat frame and make them an integral part of the seat structure, like on new vehicles.

Thanks for the information. I ordered a brochure on the 1963 Suburban and it lists seat belts as a custom option. Mine is a custom, but the belts are long gone.

Are you looking for originals or will the after market ones do? There are several sets on ebay right now, 2 or 3 original sets and several after market sets, including three point belts for pick up truck. What color are you looking for? Here's an EXAMPLE They're not cheap!

Post an ad in the swap meet and I will include a few more.

I would like to have originals, but an after market set might do. Are the original sets you talk about for suburbans? I will post a wanted ad in the swap meet. Thanks.
