Classicparts offers different kinds of harnesses and I have no experiences with that. Except for the engine, I am going to use all original parts. What would you reccon, a modern "replacement harness" or the classic one? Any other good source for purchase?

If you want original looking wiring and you will be using original accessories, the Classic Parts of America wiring harness is a nice match. Its wires are color-coded to match the original. Jim Carter sells a similar wiring harness. If I understand you right, I can buy an original style for about $ 200-250 and it contains all I need. If I want to upgrade to some modern parts, I need the harness for about $ 400-450?

Since you stated you are keeping it original, then the original style would work fine, but if you were adding a lot of things like a stereo and power windows you would need the other style.
