Has anyone used a Jim Carter wiring harness on a 40-46 truck? How many circuits does this harness have? Does it come with a fuse box? Would it be best to get this harness or purchase the EZ wiring harness?

don't recall if my 46 harness came from Carter, but their harnesses are good repro originals, as in exactly what you had originally, no additions unless you get them seperately, and original 46 harnesses didn't have fuse boxes or X number circuits, those are meant for the hot rodders power this and that extras

"best" depends on what you're doing, if you're just trying to have a driveable original truck, get original, the only electrical on the truck was the ignition, lighting and maybe a heater

I have a 57 235 engine converted to 12 volt with a solenoid starter, does this make a difference?

6 volt wiring is heavier than 12v, so you'd be getting a bonus - would have to add the solenoid setup, mostly a later ign sw with the 'start' position, and either an ignition resistor or an internally resisted coil but they should be able to guide you with what's required, JC's crew are pretty helpful .... otherwise help is always just a few finger pecks away here
